In the sixties and seventies rubber fork gaiters have been standard equipment to many motorcycles - from BSA to Honda and Zündapp. These protected the fork from dust and dirt and helped to give the bike a classic look. Today gaiters are a indispensable design feature for old school and vintage custombikes and even for dynamic cafe racers.
Kickstarter now offers fork gaiters for Harley-Davidson® models with 41mm forks such as Wide Glide forks. They also fit some other motorcycles with 41mm stanchion tubes. These black fork gaiters can be fixed by plastic zip ties or stainless hose clamps if desired. They come in pairs including zip ties
The gaitors are now made of NBR rubber which is highly resistant against grease and oil and can be cleaned easily because of the smooth surface.
They are for Harley-Davidson® models with 41mm front fork, like FL, FLH, FLHT, FLT from 1949 to 2002, FX, FXD, FXWG from 1980 oder Softail models like FXST, FLST from 1984.
These measure about 200 mm long, with a 65 mm opening at the top and a 40 mm opening at the bottom.
