In the sixties and seventies, bellows on front forks were part of the standard repertoire on many motorcycles - from BSA to Honda to Zündapp. They offered protection from dust and road grime and, not least, a classic look. Today, bellows are an indispensable style feature, especially on old school and vintage conversions, but also on cafe racers and "race inspired" conversions. Kickstarter now offers gaiters for Harley-Davidson® models with 39mm forks.
The "gaiters" are made of black, elastic plastic and are attached to the fork with cable ties (included) if required. Supplied is a pair of gaiters.
The gaitors are now made of NBR rubber which is highly resistant against grease and oil and can be cleaned easily because of the smooth surface
The "bobber boots" are for Sportster with standard, as well as Dyna and FXR with 39mm forks. For Sportster Low, Hugger, 48 Forty-Eight, Nighster and lowered custom bikes please check the short fork gaiters with part number 05-0009 in our shop.
They are approx.170mm long, the diameter at the bottom is approx. 59mm, the upper approx. 39mm. Pressed together, the bellows measure approx. 80mm.
