Elegant exhaust with classic counter cone in Norton "Commando" style.
Can be dismantled (see photo), so the insulation can be configured individually.
Very good build quality!

Including stable, also chrome-plated mounting bracket *. Without the thin layer of glass wool shown. This hardly dampens and leaves
the exhaust in no time. It is better to order the special exhaust insulation wool from the shop, order number WO-4H
The exhaust is suitable for both sides!
This rear silencer is a so-called absorption silencer. Soundproofing is done with insulating wool,
which is wrapped around a removable perforated tube. The amount and type of winding can be used to determine the degree of insulation
affect to some extent. Above all, the upper frequencies are damped. The rear silencers are insulated in this way
Experience has shown that it is much louder than so-called reflection silencers (with "chambers" inside).
To effectively insulate this exhaust, we recommend using our inserts with the specially developed for this exhaust
Order numbers AP-PDF (reflection damper) or AP-MDF (absorption damper), can be found in our shop (addr. See logo).
The easiest way to remove the exhaust insert is to press it out from the inlet side, for example with a suitable pipe.
Here is a rating based on the volume of the exchange inserts we offer for the megaphone exhaust series ( AP-MEF / MBF / MCF ):
1) AP - PDF is the quietest of the uses because it converts the exhaust from an absorption to a reflection silencer.
The volume and the back pressure produced can also be further influenced by bending the pipe up or down.
2) AP - MDF is a bit louder than AP - PDF , it has proven to be well suited in practice for large-volume two-cylinders:
e.g. for the R models from BMW, Triumph Bonneville or Tiger, Moto Guzzi LeMans, Yamaha XS650 etc.
3) AP - PDN offers the least noise reduction in the range and therefore offers the loudest sound. By slightly modifying the insert
on less passage, the damping can be increased and is therefore still quieter than the original dampers of the Megaphone series.
* We recommend the enclosed, chrome-plated fastening clamp against the much higher quality stainless steel clamp from our range
(Article number: AP-47 to be exchanged: This is much slimmer, rustproof and fixes the muffler more evenly and firmly on the manifold.
